The 7 Skincare Products I Never Travel Without

I’m not that person on a plane every week but me and husband loved to make quick and easy weekend getaways. Living in Alabama gives is the ability to be 4-5 hours from some great vacation spots – the Florida coast, mountains of Tennessee, or the busy cities of Atlanta and Nashville. Then there are those vacations that do require flights and even passports and I’m ready for every single one of them.

No matter our destination, my skincare is just as important as my vacation outfits. I was that person that didn’t care for a skincare routine on vacation and wondering why my skin was breaking out into acne and heat rashes. It wasn’t until I realized that while my body has to get adjusted to the new temperatures or environment, my skin has to do the same and if I’m not giving my skin the TLC is deserves, should I really expect for it to act right?

Over the years, I’ve perfected my skincare routine for vacation. These are the products I ABSOLUTELY do not travel without.

Cleanser: Ole Henriksen Truth Cleanser

My skin loves Vitamin C and this cleanser is the perfect amount of cleansing and moisturizer.

I realize that traveling tends to open my pores. This is one of the products I bring that help minimize the look of pores while also bringing moisture back to my skin.

Another one of the Vitamin C products. The great thing about this product? It also contains Tumeric to help with dark spots and evens my skin’s texture. A little on the pricey side but a little goes a long way.

In case you haven’t realized the pattern here, my skin loves Vitamin c on vacation. Those dark circles under your eyes after a night out on the town – done! The puffiness after not drinking enough water the day before – over! I’ve tried at least 10 eye creams since hitting 30 and this by far is my favorite.

I used to only carry one moisturizer for vacation but realized that not all moisturizers are created equal. After the bright sun or brutal wind, my face needs a heavy coat of moisture to bring back it’s vitality – and this one crosses every box.

My PM moisturized is heavy – like heavy heavy. So, in the AM, I like to opt for a lightweight gel moisturizer and of course, I had to bring in the Vitamin C one more time. Perfect for any skin type and gives me that youthful radiant glow.

This is the only face mask that I carry on vacations. With all the skincare, having my makeup on all day can wreak havoc on my pores. This mask helps to deep clean and visibly reduce pores.
