Giving my Hair a Little TLC with Pantene New Hydrating Glow Collection

I vividly remember in September when I was craving cold weather. Heat in the South was a different kind of heat and I was ready for some cooler weather. Fast forward to February where I’m currently snowed in at my Mother in Law’s house and ready for those warmer months.

Because it doesn’t normally get that cold in the South, this winter season, I had to adjust to the cooler temps and the havoc it could cause on my hair and skin. When it come to TLC, most people only think of their skin. It’s true that cold weather can cause severe dryness and irritation to the skin but what most people fail to realize is that the scalp can be subject to that same dryness and irritation.

This year, I wanted to make sure my hair and scalp didn’t suffer, and it was then that I reached for Pantene Nutrient Blends Hydrating Glow collection with Boabab Essence. I made it a point to only incorporate Sulfate and Paraben free products into my natural hair routine and this collection from Pantene gave me just that while also leaving my hair soft and healthy. This collection is infused with Vitamins B5, antioxidants, and Boabab Essence. This essence has been used to treat skin issues, hydrate hair, and protect both skin and hair from sun damage. Here’s my usual weekly routine:

HYDRATING GLOW SHAMPOO WITH BAOBAB ESSENCE

I love giving myself a mini scalp massage. I start with one lather to cleanse my scalp of any dirt and oil buildup. I then go back in with another lather for a 5-minute mini scalp massage. The ingredient Baobab is known for its hydrating properties. This gentle formula cleanses my hair without stripping it for a natural, healthy glow.

HYDRATING GLOW WITH BAOBAB ESSENCE SULFATE-FREE CONDITIONER

As someone with natural hair, Conditioner is my go-to product for moisturizing and hydrating my hair. I need a conditioner with slippage and this sulfate-free conditioner gave me that and more. I lather on the conditioner, put on a deep conditioning cap, and let it sit for 45mins to an hour. That allows the properties to penetrate my strands and leaves my hair oh so soft!

HYDRATING GLOW THIRSTY ENDS MILK TO WATER SERUM WITH BAOBAB ESSENCE

This is the MVP of the collection. I don’t know how they do it but this serum locks in the moisture from the Shampoo and Conditioner while also smoothing out any split ends I may have in between trims. It has a watery consistency that feels light, like a cream gel. That makes it much easier to spread evenly. The best thing is that it smooths and hydrates my hair while still keeping it light and bouncy.

OVERALL:

It’s becoming harder and harder to find sulfate and paraben free products that still give my hair the moisture and hydration it needs in these winter months. This collection is essential in giving my hair the TLC it needs during these winter months or whenever I need to give my hair a little extra love.  Head to Pantene's website here to learn more about the Hydrating Glow Collection!
